We Love God. We Love Others.
We Make Disciples.
"Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone in good spirits? He should sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the church, and they should pray over him and anoint [him] with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of the faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven."
--James 5:13-15
The sacrament of anointing is celebrated with those experiencing the difficulties of illness or old age. As the priest anoints the hands and forehead of the person receiving the sacrament, God's graces are given to strengthen and encourage. The appropriate time to receive this sacrament is when one is gravely ill, awaiting a serious surgery, or has become weakened with age.
If you or someone you know wishes to receive the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, please call the parish office.
